Biography
Yi Wang is a distinguished pianist and music educator with over fifteen years of experience, renowned for nurturing her students' musical passions and guiding them toward impeccable technique and practice habits. Her insightful teaching has propelled numerous students into prestigious institutions like the Manhattan School of Music's pre-college program and onto the winners' podiums of international competitions. Yi refined her artistry with a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music under Dr. Sinkevych, and later earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance and pedagogy from The University of Iowa.
As an internationally celebrated performer, Yi has garnered top honors in competitions such as the American Virtuoso International Music Competition and the New York Classical Music Competition. Her performance journey has spanned the vibrant stages of New York and Beijing to the esteemed concert halls of Shanghai and Iowa. With a repertoire that weaves classical and contemporary works, Yi's dynamic range and depth as a musician have captivated audiences globally.
